Pendant lights add charm above the island and in front of each window, while beadboard panels are employed on the ceiling, island sides, and in the backs of open shelf cabinets for a cottage country feel.
An upper cabinet with open shelves and a plate rack is positioned right next to the apron/farm sink. Black soapstone countertops contrast nicely with the rich yellow cabinetry while coordinating with flat black cabinet hardware and pendant light fixtures. Soft white marble tops the island to soften the color scheme and coordinate with the ceiling and trim. Pale blue walls were a delightful choice.
A professional gas range top paired with a pro stainless steel cooker hood proves that this kitchen is made to be used. Backlit glass cabinets above, simple corbels below the upper cabinets, a decorative range backsplash, and furniture feet on the base cabinets add to the kitchen decor.
